Olympic Glory

I've been enjoying all the Olyimpc Sports!  Have to say, though, the Men's Snowboarding Half-Pipe was amazingly exciting!  I started boarding in February, '94, back when girls didn't board!  So, I've always had a soft spot for the sport.  But, seriously?!?  That Shaun White is insane!  So amazingly good.  And, it was great to see him and his teammate win Medals!  But, if I were to pick an event to compete in, I'd choose the Snowboarding Cross.  I've always loved the technical and crazy speed side of boarding, rather than the tricks.  A few tricks are great, and I LOVE watching them, but I'm not all that bothered about doing them myself.

So... what would you choose to compete in?

I'm a big snowboarder fan myself although I've never done it. My cousin was in the junior olympics for snowboarding when she was a sophmore in high school. So i have a soft spot for the sport too. I LOVE Shaun White too! He's amazing!!! I'd LOVE to be a figure skater. Such grace and beauty (but again - not words I'd use to describe me especially on the ice) hahahahahaha

I was so lucky as a kid, one of the first women Olympic snowboarders was from the same area of Michigan as me. I ran against her in track, in fact (she beat me every time!) So, I got to learn from her. Very awesome about your cousin, Renee! Growing up in Michigan, everyone skated. So, I do a bit of figure skating, I can do a waltz jump, and used to be able to do a (single!) toe loop.
