Have you ever wondered how many people in the world have the same first and last name as you? In my case, I figured there couldn't be that many. I was right. There are only 14 people in the US (that's 14 living, legally registered) with the same first and last name as me. So neener neener all you with thousands of clones! Apparently, my first name is the 914th most popular first name in the States as well. Who knew? Bet you anything they mostly do not pronounce it the same! And my last name is 289th in the common surname list. The combination is apparently pretty scarce.

I think ... I might be even rare than you - Just one of me!
By the way, lovely to see the Morocco updates - looks like you had a fab time :)
You're probably right. But we can't all be as cool as you!!
Now see. This is part of why I campaigned at the beginning of our marriage to switch our last name from G--- to C---. (It's still not legally official--hopefully we'll finish taking care of that in the next few months). Here's the breakdown:
Heather M: 1598 (surprise, surprise--H was THE most pop girl name in '77 and M is the 10th most pop surname in the US)
Heather G: 850 (a slight improvement)
Heather C: 0
Once the blessed change finally goes through the court, I will be the ONLY one! Ha ha ha! (That's supposed to be a wicked, going-to-take-over-the-world type laugh).
Wow. I didn't realise that M--- was such a common surname! You're the only one I know. Funny. But yeah, that's why my children (my very hypothetical children) will all have slightly unusual names. I'm not talking about anything made up. Just not one of the most popular names. Current favs for the top slots: Girls: Evelyn, Lois and Ester (my great-Grandmother was Ester, and you know why Lois). Boys: Liam and Mathias.
